 SHOP POLICIES  

1:ORDERS

We require 3 weeks notice for large bespoke items ahead of your event so we have time to schedule your order in and begin any work. For birthday boards, you will not need to provide all the details until a much closer time to the event, so your details you provide are fully up to date. We try to have your items delivered one week before your event.

 

Please be as specific as you can be with your requests, a photo will be sent, to the best of our ability, of your order before it leaves us. This is the only opportunity if time and skill allow to make any changes to the boards.

 

Once you have purchased an item in the shop, this confirms the size of chalkboard and/or frame - you are then able to customise the design making it unique to you. 

 

Our chalkboards are handpainted so will not rub off or fade. You may request an additional protective coating if you intend to use your item outside, however we cannot guarantee your design if you expose it to the elements. We suggest that you only use a dry wipe to clean your chalkboards and cannot be held responsible for your design once it has left our shop.

2:DELIVERY

All of our items are made to order. Please allow 3 weeks for delivery once payment is made. Birthday and Wedding boards will be scheduled into our Diary for when you need them, to allow you to provide last mintue details. These can be expected to be made around 2/3 weeks before the date needed, and posted out in the week before.

Items are posted Royal Mail 1st Class. Larger items are sent parceforce 48

3:RETURNS

The Chalkboards and other items are fragile by nature, so damage caused by improper handling or use by the customer (including dropping, scuffing) does not qualify a chalkboard or other item for a refund or replacement. No refunds or exchanges will be given if you purchase the wrong item or do not read the description of the item you purchase. We will not replace your item if theft occurs after delivery.

 

Unpainted Frames may only be returned or refunded if there has been an error in the item description, or damage during shipping.

We will not start any work until full payment has been made. You may be subject to a cancellation fee if you cancel your order after payment has been made, as work may have already started on your board. This fee can be transferred towards a new chalkboard from us. Once a chalkboard or item has been completed, this cannot be refunded or exchanged. We spend time talking to our customers during the order process to make sure there is an understanding of what should be designed on the chalkboard. We therefore ask our customers to be specific with their requests. You will recieve, to the best of our ability, a photograph of your item when it has been completed. Only then will you have an opportunity to say whether there is something which needs to be changed. If this is a mistake made by myself, and if circumstances allow, then we will make the changes.

The Beginners Guide To Modern Signwriting is not availbale for returns. If you would like to find out more about what is included in the book before buying please feel free to get in touch beforehand.

Starter Kits may only be refunded if there has been an error in the description or damaged during shipping.

There are no returns on our prints and cards unless faulty.

4:T&C'S

I cannot take responsibility for late arrivals caused by Royal Mail, or other circumstances out of their control (such as delays due to weather), but can file a claim if it happens.

 

In the event of a personal emergency, natural disaster, act of God, or other unforeseen circumstance, or if I am physically incapable of producing your order, I will give you the option to either receive it at a later date, or receive a full refund, with no further responsibility on my part. I reserve the right to cancel and refund your order, in whole or in part, or deny business to anyone for any reasonable cause.

5. Privacy Policy

We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information and purchase history. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications); payment details (including credit card information), comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile.

When you conduct a transaction on our website, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only.

We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:

  1. To provide and operate the Services;

  2. To provide our Users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support;

  3. To be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalized service-related notices and promotional messages;

  4. To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services; 

  5. To comply with any applicable laws and regulations.

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
